Migrating from DTDs to Schema

Migrating from DTDs to Schema is a two-day workshop that is designed to accelerate your ability to introduce schema concepts into your production environment. This workshop should be considered by companies that have existing DTD environments as well as those just venturing into XML. This workshop will use your existing DTDs to provide examples to supplement the course material.

• Part one of the workshop deals with the issues associated with the management of these two environments. The tools required to support Schema and the impact that Schemas and DTDs have on the processing of XML messages are also discussed.
• Part two of the workshop reviews the enhanced functionality that Schema provides.
• Part three of the workshop reviews the process of converting from DTD to Schema using pre-defined course material.
• Part four of the workshop uses your existing DTDs and participants are encouraged to contribute design suggestions.
